Comprehensive Professional Education in Breastfeeding and Lactation
Graduate with more than 90 hours for IBLCE exam eligibility
Evergreen Perinatal Education provides breastfeeding and lactation education. Our education programs meet the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) education requirements for exam eligibility to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). As IBLCE strives to ensure the safety for new families who receive care from an IBCLC, the exam requirements have changed and have become more comprehensive over the years. Starting in 2012, IBLCE now requires 90 hours of lactation specific education within 5 years of taking the exam.
Evergreen Perinatal Education has embraced these changes and looks forward to providing this education in a creative, stimulating, and enlightening way. As such, we are excited to announce that we are adding an e-learning lactation education component. In addition, we have also revised and expanded our face to face, live programs in order to preserve our education philosophy (hyperlink) as we it is challenging to share this philosophy with students through web-based education alone. We think we have found the perfect combination and balance for all your lactation education needs.
Below are specifics of the 90 required hours of lactation education:
- Foundations for Best Practice in Lactation Care (37.5 hours)
