Whether you are working on meeting standards for Joint Commission or working towards designation as a Baby-Friendly Hospital, Evergreen Perinatal Education (EPE) can assist hospitals in achieving best practices in infant feeding. Faculty consultants have worked at hospitals that achieved the Baby-Friendly award and have worked as onsite assessors evaluating other hospitals in the designation process, including having provided the necessary support and technical help along the way. Our goal is to help hospitals change practice in infant feeding in an understandable, doable, and enjoyable way.
Evergreen Perinatal Education is an independent organization with no official connection to Baby-Friendly USA or its assessment process.

Learn MoreWhether your facility has already embarked on the Ten Step journey or is just getting started, we can lead you step-by-step through the maze of information, materials and tasks necessary to move through each phase.
EPE will provide guidance and support to set up a plan designed to specifically meet your facility's needs, starting with a two-day site visit to evaluate your facility's current status in accomplishing the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding. We will tour the unit, review (or help develop) the infant feeding policy and related protocols, meet with hospital administrators, managers and staff as well as assist you in navigating the Baby-Friendly USA website. Hospitals find this to be a safe, informal and comfortable process. Our findings are confidential and not shared outside the appropriate hospital setting.
In addition we will provide 6 months of ongoing personal contact via email, Skype or phone to answer questions that may arise along the way.
