Challenging Feedings: Good Problem Solving

Price: $50

This 3-hour course dives into strategies for overcoming common breastfeeding difficulties. We'll explore when and how to offer gentle, hands-on support to optimize latch. Learn techniques to help sleepy or uncoordinated babies at the breast/chest, and strategies for parents with inverted nipples. The course delves into how an infant's mouth anatomy, including the cheeks, tongue, and any oral anomalies like cleft lip or tongue-tie, can impact breastfeeding success. By understanding these factors, you'll gain the knowledge to identify potential challenges and support parents in achieving successful breastfeeding.

Important Update Regarding CERPs Eligibility
Due to upcoming changes in IBLCE guidelines, this course will no longer offer CERPs starting in 2026. The full course
Foundations for Best Practice in Lactation Care will continue to qualify for CERPs; however, its individual modules will no longer be eligible for CERPs when taken separately.

If you plan to purchase this course, please ensure you complete it by December 31, 2025 to receive CERPs.

Please note: This course will still count toward IBCLC certification requirements and RN continuing education credits.

Really liked the break down of the oral cavity anatomy and its particular function in breastfeeding and how to assess which part may be the problem.
Great info! I am specifically looking for videos or helpful tips for working with first time moms and babies who are maybe just a little slower to latch and suck and have a good feeding.
This was a very good course. I really appreciate the videos that were shown!
