Excellence in Care with the Ten Steps: A Two-Day workshop

This two-day workshop is designed to advance evidence-based infant feeding practices within hospitals and clinics. It serves as a foundational programme for facilities aiming to achieve or maintain "Baby-Friendly" designation by focusing on The Ten Steps to Successful Chestfeeding. Participants will gain insight into the evolving roles of healthcare professionals in supporting pregnant and new families and learn to implement key practices for early bodyfeeding care.

The workshop will cover barriers to effective communication, the impact of birthing routines on bodyfeeding success, and the rationale behind skin-to-skin care and correct positioning. Attendees will also learn how to perform a bodyfeeding LATCH score and address the special needs of preterm infants. The programme includes practical strategies for enhancing human milk production, understanding the importance of human milk, and managing common chestfeeding challenges.
I thought I already knew a lot about breastfeeding, but I learned even more from this course. Great information!
Thank you so much, this course was a wonderful review of the 5 day course I recently completed at Evergreen Perinatal. Ginna, you are truly amazing and inspirational.

Thank you so much for sharing this lecture with us. This is a huge help to us nurses, or even for us as new parents or those who will become parents. These pictures and videos totally make a difference!
