Navigating the Challenges for Early Term Infants

Price: $40

This 2-hour course focuses on the specific needs of late preterm infants (born 34-36 weeks) and supposedly term infants (born 37-38 weeks). Together these late preterm groups are called early term infants. We'll define late preterm birth and explore the potential risks these babies face compared to full-term infants. Learn strategies to develop a comprehensive care plan for late preterm babies, addressing challenges they may encounter. The course equips you with specific techniques to support successful bodyfeeding for parents of late preterm infants, promoting optimal outcomes for these precious newborns.

Important Update Regarding CERPs Eligibility
Due to upcoming changes in IBLCE guidelines, this course will no longer offer CERPs starting in 2026. The full course
Foundations for Best Practice in Lactation Care will continue to qualify for CERPs; however, its individual modules will no longer be eligible for CERPs when taken separately.

If you plan to purchase this course, please ensure you complete it by December 31, 2025 to receive CERPs.

Please note: This course will still count toward IBCLC certification requirements and RN continuing education credits.

Great information about late preterm and "early term" babies. The module also talked about using the assessment to determine if the baby needed higher level or if the baby is healthy enough to stay with their mother. Overall great. course
