Tips for picking the correct practice/mock exam for you!
1. Gauge Your Confidence: Before purchasing a practice exam, consider how confident you feel. If you're already feeling prepared, you do not need to buy one. If you'd like to familiarize yourself with taking online tests, try our free IBCLC Practice Exam. It's 15 questions long and formatted just like the IBCLC Exam. - Regardless of purchasing, simulate the exam experience!
2. Simulate the Exam Experience: If you don’t often work on a computer for extended periods or engage in long testing sessions, it's crucial to include at least one long practice/mock exam in your study plan. Your body is likely accustomed to this type of experience, so it's important to see how you'll respond to the prolonged focus computer environment required.
3. Target Weak Areas: Consider focusing on topics that are less familiar to you. If your primary work involves direct patient care and issue identification, then practicing didactic knowledge can be beneficial. Similarly, think of what time periods you most often see patients - it is likely you do not see the families outside of that specific time. It's important to review those areas.
4. Maximize Value: If you're thinking about taking a mock exam, even if you initially plan to take it only once, consider opting for the unlimited attempts package if your budget allows. Many people start with the One or Five Attempt options and later purchase the unlimited package, leading to additional costs. We want to help you avoid unnecessary expenses.
